The Dakota Model 10 single shot rifle is a light weight, compact hunting rifle that makes the Ruger single shots feel a bit "blockish". This is an early 3 digit serial numbered rifle that was made when Dakota's founder Don Allen was still running the company.
The 2 piece stock is nicely figured California Walnut with pretty grain throughout. The stock finish is about 95% with a couple light handling marks on either side. The barrel and action have a soft blued finish that shows slight wear. Rifling is clean and sharp throughout. There are several scratches in the barrel finish just ahead of the forend on the left as shown in the pictures. The rifle is topped with a Swarovski 3-10x42 scope attached with Tally rings and bases. The optics are crystal clear and all adjustments function properly.
The length of pull is 13.5" to a black rubber pad, trigger pull is just under 2 lbs and the weight as shown is 7 lbs.
This rifle has been used but is still an excellant value that can be carried and enjoyed.
